January 1st: New Year

The New Year begins on January 1st.

January 2nd: Slovak Day

March 11: Independence Day

June 1st: Children's Day

A day dedicated to the children of the country.

October 3rd: German Day
  1. Celebration of the reunification of East and West Germany. The ceremonial anthem is the Song of the Germans

31. Oktober: Halloween

October 31st is traditionally Halloween and Reformation Day - double reason to celebrate.

November 11th: War Fallen Day

A day to mourn and honor the deaths of millions of German soldiers in the First World War. Ceremonial hymn is: Nachts steht Hunger starr in unserm Traum

December 6th: St. Nicholas Day

A day dedicated to Saint Nicholas, who has become a symbol of charity and giving over the centuries. The ceremonial anthem has not yet been determined.

24. Dezember: Heiligabend

  1. New Year's Eve marks the end of the year and is celebrated with festive celebrations. The day symbolizes transition, accompanied by fireworks and festive activities as people toast the coming year in unity. Ceremonial hymn is: Ode and die Freude
