+++ Königshalbtern, Lasetia – 7.3.25 - After the first election in a year, President Max von Lasetien has nominated a new cabinet. The ministers have been nominated, their portfolios have been determined and the first government statement is imminent. Each nominated minister must still agree to his position by March 12th.
Cabinet of Ministers and Government Structure
Each minister of the new cabinet took the obligatory oath of office, which includes upholding the constitution and serving the Lasetic people.
The ministers and their departments:
Foreign Minister: Nick Demmer (Independent) 🇩🇪
Immigration Minister: Ahmet Demir (Independent) 🇵🇰
Interior Minister: Kazuko Arisawa (LLL) 🇩🇪
Trade Minister: Steven von Lüondingosch (Independent) 🇦🇹
Finance Minister: Jonas Malerweitz (ZRP) 🇦🇹
Justice Minister: Max von Lasetien (ZRP) 🇩🇪
Culture Minister: Kaiser Cosmin I (Independent) 🇷🇴
Social Affairs Minister: Jan Kreve (LRS) 🇩🇪
Defense Minister: Alexander van Ballen (PDA) 🇩🇪
In future, the Ministry of the Interior will also take over the tasks of the Ministry of Nature and Transport. It is noticeable that one minister does not speak German. Therefore, the use of English was permitted in government meetings despite legal bases.
Majority situation in the National Council
The online elections via the "Discord" platform were canceled due to low participation. A new election can be decided by a simple majority of the National Council by March 30, 2025.
A survey by the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution on February 25, 2025 was recognized as representative and resulted in the following distribution of seats:
Central Reform Party (ZRP): 61.5% (4 MPs)

First government statement is imminent
The new government has sent a clear political signal. The dominant ZRP has appointed three ministers, while independent candidates also fill three ministries. One ministerial post each goes to the LLL, PDA and LRS.
Now it remains to be seen what political priorities the government will set. The first government statement is expected in the coming days and should provide information about future priorities.
